People, Patches, Peace and Liberation!

So the forecast for this summer, for those of us who will never be caught in one of those mumus with giant prints ala Mr. Roper/3's Company, is an incredible pair of jeans emblazoned with patches, embroidery etc.
People for Peace is leading the way with some of the hottest jeans I've seen in a while. People's Liberation will be releasing a line any minute now that will feature a Moasist star and Reo Starr has a very affordable be-patched jean too.

When are the People's Liberation jeans going to be here?

I'm not sure. There was a blurb in In Touch recently w/ a picture of the Hilton gals and the awesome jeans but no one has them yet. The back pockets look a lot like Tissews...expect them to disappear within a few days like the first Antiks did.

Has anyone seen People For Peace jeans in person?

I've seen them in person. There are a few boutiques here in LA that have them in stock such as Fred Segal, Kitson, and M.Frederic. I think they look great, but because of the fabric they tend to look better in smaller sizes. The fabric isn't too forgiving for shapelier women.

Other brands with very similar concepts are People for Peace and People of the World, both can be found at Fred Segal. People for Peace focuses more on embroidery in a lot of different colors, very hippy, whereas People of the World have different shaped pockets like People's Liberation.

Thanks so much! Up here in SF/BayArea you walk into Neiman Marcus and the salesgirls have no idea what you are talking about. They know Rock Republic, Citizens, 7 and thats about it. When I asked about True Religion Godiva jeans, the really unpleasant sales gal said '...oh, you mean those jeans with the mermaid on it?' I really prefer the web for shopping...Aneehs has a great store on Ebay called 'Daily Denim' which everyone should check out-she's a fellow jeans authority who knows her denim!

People's Liberation is at Nordstroms and they run two sizes bigger because of all the stretch. I was not to crazy about the lighter washes and the the 'look at my thighs' sanding but i still think they rock...I mean ALL JEANS DO!

Just purchased a pair for myself. I have a local store, Cohoes, who sells all designers from Seven's, Rock and Republic, People for Peace, Citizen's, etc. I just purchased the "Love" jeans from People for Peace for $113, which I believe the regular price is $285. In addition, they have a sale once per year for Seven for all Mankind... the best prices around New England for designer jeans and clothing. I will say that the sizing is a bit confusing. They do fit similar to Rock and Republic. I am normally a 25 in Seven, I purchased the People's in a size 27. Hope this helps!
